My name is Ashlee! I am a New York native. In 2013, I embarked on my journey to obtain my bachelor of arts in Journalism from thee illustrious Hampton University. College is where I discovered my love for media production. I took my first production-related course during my sophomore year – Intro to Video Production and I MUST say it changed my life. During my tenure, I learned how to trust my knowledge and operate as a one-woman band. I graduated from the REAL HU with honors, in May 2017 eager to begin my career. I am actively pursuing my Master’s Degree in Engagement Journalism at the CUNY Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism.
I currently work as an Assistant Director of Social Media at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Prior to joining the healthcare industry, I worked for companies like News 12 Networks, ABC News, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and Paramount (previously ViacomCBS). Each position has allowed me to acquire many skills to hone my craft. Working for these companies has given me the drive to really invest in my work…to eventually work for MYSELF.
